They are seeking an Internal Wholesaler to provide sales support for 401(K) products, develop relationships with financial advisors, and identify new sales opportunities within their territory.ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibility is to provide sales support to wholesalers and financial advisors selling Equitable 401(K) productsIn partnership with the external wholesaler, the inside wholesaler is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with selling advisors, as well as identifying and acquiring new business within their territory to meet sales goalsThis person will drive new retirement plan assets within a geographic territory by making proactive phone calls to, or taking inbound calls from, financial advisors - to engage financial advisors, share sales ideas, provide product information, gather marketing data and offer sales supportThe management of the geographic territory will be done in collaboration with an external wholesaler partner, who has ultimate responsibility for the territoryIt is expected this person will develop and maintain relationships with these Advisors to increase sales of Equitable 401(K) products, as well as identify new sales opportunitiesSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceSeries 6 or Series 7 licenses required or willing to obtain within 180 days of start dateMinimum 1 years experience working with Retirement Plans, preferably 401(k)Ability to present the features of the various Equitable pension productsAssist external wholesalers daily with prospecting activitiesEducate Financial Advisor on all aspects of product/market environmentBe aware of the world of investments and of 401(k) competitors' offeringsCoordinate & participate in pre-sale discussions regarding plan design/product sale/implementationStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and WordExperience in the financial or investment management industrySeries 63 and Life licenses preferred and/or must be obtained within 180 days of start dateBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionA 401(k) planPaid time offCompany OverviewEquitable provides consulting services to secure the financial well-being and retirement strategies for individuals and families.
