Intermediate UX Designer

As a UX-II Designer, you will play a critical role in designing exceptional user experiences for our cloud-based audit, financial reporting, and data analytics solutions that empower accounting professionals worldwide.You will work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Design Teams to create intuitive, user-centered designs that help our customers work more intelligently, gain deeper insights, and deliver impactful results.

This is a hybrid role requiring the successful candidate to work 3 days a week in our Toronto office, located at 351 King St E, Suite 1100, Toronto, ON. What you will be doing:
Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, user needs, and technological capabilities/constraints
Design wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts
Conduct user research, usability testing, and validate designs to ensure they meet user needs
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and implement innovative solutions
Maintain design systems and ensure consistent user experience across all Caseware products
Stay current with UX design trends, tools, and emerging technologies in the accounting and audit software industry
Create and maintain detailed design documentation including user flows, interaction models, and design specifications
Help resolve customer-impacting design issues, ensuring the quickest and safest resolutions
Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to fellow designers What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
2 to 3 yearsof experience in UX design, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software environments
Strong portfolio showcasing your design process and problem-solving abilities
Proficiencywith design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
Experienceconducting user research and applying insights to improve designs
Solid understanding of design systems and component-based design
Knowledge of accessibility standards and designing for diverse user needs
Excellent communication skills to present design decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to translate complex financial and accounting concepts into intuitive user experiences
Demonstrated ability to work in an agile environment with rapid iteration cycles
Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-platform user experiences
Collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
