Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal/Docketing Specialist

Job Summary: Fort Lauderdale based Intellectual Property Law Firm is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal/Docketing Specialist to join our team. This position focuses on providing professional Paralegal and Docketing services in the field of Intellectual Property, with an emphasis on domestic and international patent, trademark, and copyright matters. Roles and Responsibilities: • Docket, monitor, and maintain records relating to patent, trademark, and copyright prosecution. • Perform research on IP processes and procedures both domestically and internationally. • Manage and docket correspondence from IP offices, clients, and foreign associates to ensure timely tracking of deadlines. • Conduct preliminary patent and trademark searches. • Assist in drafting and preparing opinion letters, reporting letters, and other client communications. • Communicate frequently with clients and foreign associates to provide updates and obtain case information. Required Education, Experience, and Skills: • At least 3–5 years of IP and Docketing experience required. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. • Proficiency with IP docketing systems and software, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as USPTO and other governmental online databases • Strong multitasking abilities; able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. • Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills. • Team-oriented with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task management. • Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
