Intellectual Property (IP) Manager
Location: Monrovia, CA Full Time, Exempt JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Patent portfolio management: Technical and commercial assessment of internal invention disclosures, determining filing priorities based on business goals, and submission of patent applications working with patent attorneys. • IP protection: Examine existing patents and protections, and investigate infringements. • IP policy management: Expand and update IP policies, and ensure compliance with IP laws and regulations. • IP agreement management: Review and negotiate IP agreements, including licensing, assignments, and non-disclosure agreements. • IP training: Conduct IP training and awareness programs for employees; encourage the submission of disclosures. • IP litigation: Assist with the management of IP litigation and dispute resolution. • IP collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams on product development, marketing, and branding. Skills Required • Technical understanding of photonics: Preferably a background in integrated optics, free space optics, signal processing. • Experience in patent law: Knowledge of patent law and other forms of IP protection. • Analytical thought • Communication • Customer orientation • Planning and organization QUALIFICATIONS • Master's or PhD degree in Optics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or related subjects Apply tot his job
