Job Description: Integration Architect – Healthcare Experience: 10–15 Years Location: Remote (EST & CST only) Duration: Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect with strong healthcare domain expertise to design and lead enterprise integration solutions involving EHR systems, HL7 messaging, and interface engines such as Mirth Connect. The role requires deep understanding of Utilization Management (UM) and Care Management (CM) workflows and the ability to translate healthcare business needs into scalable, secure technical architectures. Key Responsibilities Architect and design end-to-end integration solutions across EHR and healthcare applications. Design, implement, and govern HL7 v2.x interfaces (ADT, ORM, ORU, etc.) Lead interface development using Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect) Design and optimize SQL database schemas, queries, and data flows supporting integrations Collaborate with UM and CM stakeholders to align technical solutions with business workflows Define integration standards, patterns, and best practices Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data privacy, and security requirements Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and data exchange issues Required Qualifications 10–15 years of experience in healthcare IT with strong focus on integration architecture Hands-on experience integrating EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar) Strong expertise in HL7 v2.x standards and healthcare interoperability Proven experience with Mirth Connect interface engine Strong SQL database knowledge including data modeling and performance tuning Solid understanding of Utilization Management (UM) and Care Management (CM) domains Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills Experience with FHIR and REST-based healthcare APIs Cloud integration experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) Experience working with payer or provider healthcare organizations Apply tot his job
