Insurance Authorization Coordinator

We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Insurance Authorization Coordinator in Houston, Texas. The role primarily involves managing customer applications and records, resolving their inquiries, and monitoring customer accounts.

Responsibilities
• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications
• Maintain precise customer credit records
• Resolve customer inquiries effectively
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions
• Conduct comprehensive review of claims and denials, assessing their validity
• Engage in dispute resolution and present necessary arguments for appeals
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless resolution of claims and other issues
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing guidelines to ensure claims compliance
• Gather and preserve crucial data necessary for the resolution of claims
• Perform account clean-ups while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency.• Proficiency in CRM systems to effectively manage customer relationships and data
• Experience in answering inbound calls, demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with authorizations, particularly in an insurance setting
• Understanding of benefit functions, including eligibility checks and coverage verifications
• Knowledge of billing functions, ideally within the healthcare or insurance sector
• Experience in claim administration, including processing, tracking, and managing claims
• Proficiency in data entry with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage and analyze claims data to identify trends and make recommendations
• Experience in handling insurance claims, with understanding of claim procedures and guidelines
• Familiarity with medical claims, including processing, coding, and billing procedures.
