Duties:
Draft and file pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery requests/responses
Manage all aspects of discovery, including discovery motions and motion practice
Conduct depositions and participate in court appearances as needed
Independently manage cases from start to finish
Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members on complex legal issues
Develop and maintain client relationships
Contribute to business development and marketing efforts
Provide superior research and writing support for case preparation
Requirements:
4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation
Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and D&O policies
Proven experience in civil litigation, including drafting motions, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court
Ability to independently manage caseloads and work under minimal supervision
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients in a dynamic environment
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active Bar membership in good standing in Georgia (or eligibility to waive in)
Skills:
Superior research and writing abilities
Strong oral communication and presentation skills
Ability to handle complex legal issues with attention to detail
Proficient in using legal research tools and case management software
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
