Summary Ensures business training and educational needs are met by creating, developing, writing, and implementing training materials, programs and curriculums for both internal and external customers. Description Logistics: Palmetto GBA,– one of BlueCross BlueShield's South Carolina subsidiary companies. Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday fully remote. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM. It may be necessary, given the business need to work occasional overtime. What You’ll Do: • Develops and revises training course work to include: booklets, lesson plans, proficiency tests, newsletters, and/or websites. Develops written work through research, working with subject matter experts, and under the supervision of management or by the review, analysis, and interpretation of transmittals, critical tasks, program memoranda, coverage issues, and change requests. • Identifies procedural and system changes that impact training materials. Makes recommendations on appropriate actions for change and development of training materials or curriculum. Evaluate and make recommendations for changes to improve the effectiveness of training courses and curriculum. • Maintains effective relationships with contractors, business associates and other departments. Develops desk procedures and ensures compliance with contractual guidelines. • Assists in special projects including plan tracking and updates. To Qualify For This Position, You'll Need The Following: • Required Education: Bachelor's in a job related field • Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience • Required Experience: • Required Software and tools: Microsoft Office. • Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, interpersonal, conceptual and planning skills. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently as well as with groups. Ability to work continually and effectively under stringent pressure including constant and numerous deadlines and company and contract ambiguities We Prefer That You Have The Following: • Preferred Education Level and Degree Type : Bachelor's degree- English • Preferred Work Experience: 3 years-experience in technical writing or training development or design. • Preferred Software and Other Tools: Experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office and Adobe. Experience with desktop publishing programs and Click2Learn tool book (a web authoring software). PowerPoint. • Preferred Licenses and Certificates: Professional Writing Development or Design Certification.
