This position involves direct communication with repair facilities, customers, and appraisers, utilizing both telephone and written correspondence to ensure a smooth claims process.
Responsibilities
Ā Provide exceptional customer service through empathy and understanding of customer needs.

Ā Interpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage, and ensure appropriate reserving.

Ā Obtain and evaluate relevant information from appraisers, third party adjusters, contractors, and repair facilities to quantify losses and validate total loss evaluations.

Ā Negotiate settlement of total loss claims with insureds, claimants, and attorneys to reach fair and equitable settlements.

Ā Communicate with repair facilities, lien holders, tow facilities, and other vendors to obtain relevant information to settle claims.

Ā Coordinate services with vendors and service providers, such as rental and salvage.
,
Ā Secure documents needed to process titles and salvage of vehicles.

Ā Manage pending claims and workload timely and proactively to expedite total loss settlements.

Ā Maintain accurate records based on company standards and policies within the claims system.

Ā Remain up-to-date with legislative changes and trends in the insurance industry.

Ā Manage salvage inventory by resolving release issues, setting minimum bids, reviewing bid approval requests, and resolving title problems.
Requirements
Ā Minimum 1+ years of insurance claims adjusting experience.

Ā Effective customer service skills including empathy and concern for customers.

Ā Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Ā Strong investigative and analytical skills.

Ā Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
