Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Information Technology Analyst - Data Solutions Expert to join our Corporate Framework Services (CIS) team in Austin, TX. As a critical team member, you'll have the opportunity to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge data solutions that drive business success. Your expertise will enable us to harness the power of data, empowering our clients and driving growth.

Key Responsibilities


Lead the design and development of data solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are aligned with company goals.
Design, build, and deploy scalable and efficient data solutions, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting systems.
Ensure the quality, reliability, and security of data solutions through rigorous testing, monitoring, and optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources, including CSV, Excel, Email attachments, SmartSheet, and more.
Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and operations groups to handle business requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Develop and maintain software applications to extend system, application, or tool functionality, improving business processes and meeting customer needs.
Analyze and resolve operational issues, performing root cause analysis and providing recommendations for improvement.
Document data engineering processes, workflows, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain a robust data repository.


Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and Relevant Experience


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems.


Technical Skills


Proficiency in AWS services, including AWS Glue, AuroraDB (MySQL) - RDS, Amazon Workmail, Amazon SES, S3, Lambda, Redshift, SQS, IAM (Users, Groups, Roles, and Permissions), VPC, and infrastructure configuration.
Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.
Strong SQL skills, with experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Familiarity with open-source data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Pig, Spark, and others.
2+ years of development experience in Python, Ruby, Scala, or other platforms related to big data technology.
Knowledge of professional programming practices and best practices for the full software development lifecycle.


Preferred Qualifications

Additional Technical Skills


Experience with SmartSheet, Asana, HoneyCode, or Powerapp.
Familiarity with JavaScript and React JS.
Industry experience as a Data Engineer or related specialist, with a proven track record of driving value from large datasets.
Experience building data products iteratively and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources.
Query performance tuning skills using Unix profiling tools and SQL.
Experience leading large-scale data warehousing and analytics projects, including utilizing AWS technologies.
