Information Security Engineer - Contract (Remote)

Project length : ~3–4 weeks Commitment : ≥ 10 hrs / week Compensation : $32 – $46per hour • Hourly rate may be higher for exception candidates About the project Fixpoint is hiring Information Security Engineers for a research project at a leading AI company. You will use your expertise to explain the challenges and skillsets of your job, explain what excellence looks like in your profession, and design questions related to your occupation as an Information Security Engineer. You're a good fit if you have experience with: • Identify security system weaknesses, using penetration tests • Coordinate monitoring of networks or systems for security breaches or intrusions • Scan networks, using vulnerability assessment tools to identify vulnerabilities • Develop response and recovery strategies for security breaches or have similar experience. Must-have qualifications • Have 5+ years full-time work experience • Native-level English skills • U.S. residency • Access to a laptop or desktop computer and reliable internet. • Availability for at least 10 hours per week during the 3- to 4-week engagement (work is fully asynchronous and on your own schedule). Nice-to-haves • Develop information security standards and best practices • Implement software tools to assist in the detection, prevention, and analysis of security threats • Provide technical support to computer users for installation and use of security products Compensation & logistics • Hourly pay: $32 – $46, commensurate with experience and project fit. • Hourly rate may be higher for exception candidates • Paid weekly via Fixpoint, based on approved hours. • You will be classified as 1099 independent-contractor status; engagement is at-will. • Entirely remote; work whenever you like as long as deadlines are met.
