About the position

The Informatics Analyst III - Data Visualization is a pivotal role within CDPHP, responsible for supporting the implementation and analysis of programs and initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals. These goals include making quality healthcare more accessible and affordable for customers, controlling cost trends while maintaining a commitment to quality, and developing a deep understanding of customer needs. The Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that CDPHP retains its market-leading position across all business lines. The primary focus of this position is on the design, development, maintenance, interpretation, and communication of insights derived from decision support tools, particularly Tableau-based dashboards and interactive analytic suites. These tools are essential for identifying and managing actionable opportunities within the organization. The Informatics Analyst III is also responsible for preparing the necessary data for Tableau workbooks, which includes generating statistically derived metrics or benchmarks. This role requires proficiency in multiple analytic tools and data sources, including Tableau, SAS, and Excel. As a subject matter expert in data visualization for healthcare, the Analyst supports the ongoing maintenance and effective use of Tableau dashboards, ensuring that both analytic resources and business end-users can leverage these tools effectively. Responsibilities
• Support the implementation and analysis of programs aligned with CDPHP's strategic goals.

• Design, develop, maintain, interpret, and communicate insights from Tableau-based dashboards and interactive analytic suites.

• Prepare data needed for Tableau workbooks, including statistically derived metrics or benchmarks.

• Utilize multiple analytic tools and data sources, including Tableau, SAS, and Excel, to support data analysis objectives.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on data visualization for healthcare.
,
• Support the ongoing maintenance and effective use of Tableau dashboards by analytic resources and business end-users.

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in business needs assessment, data preparation, dashboard development, design, and analysis.
,
• Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Healthcare/Epidemiology, or Math/Statistics required (4 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree).
,
• Master's degree preferred.
,
• Demonstrated expertise with advanced capabilities of Tableau Desktop required; Tableau Desktop Certified Professional preferred.
,
• Expertise in synthesizing and analyzing data sets of varying sizes and complexities required.
,
• Knowledge of analytics, including statistical and/or financial analysis required.
,
• Ability to validate and corroborate all data analyses and deliverables required.
,
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects required.
,
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and planning skills required.
,
• Experience in MS Office products required.
,
• Ability to represent the department with internal and external customers required.

Nice-to-haves
• Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, HCPC's, RBRVS, UBO4, HCFA 1500, MS-DRG, APR-DRG, APC, APG coding and reimbursement.

• Experience with forecasting, financial, and/or predictive modeling tools and techniques preferred.
,
• Experience in the healthcare or managed care industry preferred.
,
• Familiarity with SAS preferred.
