We are seeking a passionate and experienced Infant Teacher to join our team at Primrose School at Edinburgh Commons in Chesapeake, VA. As an Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children, helping them explore, discover, and understand the world around them. Our school offers a premier educational child care experience, and we are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Job Highlights:
Competitive salary: $15 - $15.5 per hour
Flexible schedule: Monday to Friday, 6am-6pm

Responsibilities:
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
Provide overall supervision and daily class functions for a group of children
Assess each child's developmental needs and implement approved lesson plans
Maintain a well-organized and attractive classroom that encourages children to create and explore
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment
Requirements:
Meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program preferred
Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and properly lift infants into and out of a crib
6 months of experience in the relative age group (Infant - Early Preschool)
