Snowflake is actively seeking an Industry Principal, Marketing & Advertising to join our Industry Sales Go-to-Market team. In this role you will be responsible for working with our Field Sales teams to develop and close new business for targeted accounts within the Communications, Media and Entertainment sub verticals. In this role you will act as a visionary and an innovative industry expert and have the opportunity to apply your successful track record of building, overseeing, and developing enterprise software go-to-market strategies for our Marketing and Advertising customers.
Reporting to the Global Go-to-Market Head for Marketers and Advertisers, you will collaborate closely with current and prospective customers acting as a trusted industry advisor to deeply understand their unique company challenges and goals.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:
Have direct involvement with our most strategic accounts developing account strategies, building trusted relationships, and presenting Snowflakes vision for the industry- bridging Snowflakes vision for the industry from the CTO to the CMO.
Build strategic relationships with the CME vertical ecosystem including customers, partners, and data providers
Partner with the industry product and industry marketing teams to develop and drive a cohesive industry go-to-market strategy
Develop and deploy an enablement strategy to build a strong foundation of industry knowledge within the organization
Collaborate with our product teams to prioritize and deliver industry-specific capabilities in future product roadmaps and drive Snowflakes Marketing product vision into the market
Partner with product marketing teams to drive industry awareness and pipeline development
Oversee account prioritization, solution and sales play creation to help educate and enable sales, sales engineers, pre-sales and customer success teams.
Collaborate with partner and alliance teams to identify, recruit, and enable industry-specific system integrators and ISV partners
ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE
15+ years of industry experience working in, selling to, consulting to, or implementing technology for the Marketing industry, particular experience with a broad set of marketing and advertising technologies including CDPs, DMPs, Data Clean Rooms, Media Buying, Measurement tools, etc. This position needs a broad understanding of both the owned and paid use cases within a marketing organization.
Be well-versed in the overall challenges and opportunities impacting various sub industries within Communications, Media and Entertainment, including privacy, personalization, measurement, and data driven marketing.
Experience with consumer analytics, cloud or business intelligence technology strongly preferred
Experience working directly with C-level executives and an ability to quickly establish credibility with senior leadership
Undergraduate degree, advanced degree preferred
The ability to travel

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
The estimated base salary range for this role is $222,000 - $316,800.
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflakes bonus and equity plan.
The successful candidates starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
