Job Title: Snr Global Supply Chain Manager (Industrial Engineer) Location: South Africa (Remote) Salary Range: R65,000 - R85,000 per month Overview:Are you a seasoned Industrial Engineer ready to take on a dynamic challenge? MUST HAVE INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE Key Responsibilities: • Strategic Supply Chain Leadership: • Define and implement winning strategies to optimize global supply chain operations. • Lead the development of long-term strategic plans aligned with the company's vision and objectives. • Identify opportunities for supply chain optimization and market penetration, leveraging expertise in emerging markets and industry trends. • Organizational Development: • Establish organizational structures and processes to support strategic supply chain initiatives. • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the global supply chain team. • Empower and develop team members to maximize their potential and drive performance excellence. • Transformation Management: • Lead large-scale supply chain transformations, including turnarounds, restructures, and scale-ups. • Drive operational excellence through efficient resource allocation and project management within the supply chain function. • Oversee M&A activities related to supply chain operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. • Leadership and Team Engagement: • Inspire and motivate the global supply chain team to embrace change and achieve ambitious goals. • Champion a shared vision and strategy for supply chain optimization, fostering alignment across the organization. • Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, resilience, and a commitment to excellence in supply chain management. • Business Development: • Identify new opportunities for supply chain optimization and strategic partnerships to drive global growth. • Leverage expertise in food/agri and energy industries to capitalize on market trends and enhance supply chain competitiveness. • Drive innovation and technology adoption initiatives within the global supply chain function. MUST HAVE INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE Qualifications: • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in industrial engineering, with 10+ years preferred. • Expertise in global supply chain management and change management initiatives. • Proficiency in technology, particularly within the realm of food and agricultural technology. • Extensive experience in managing supply chains across Europe, with a focus on operations in Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa, and India. • Bonus points for familiarity with supply chain dynamics in other regions, particularly in Africa (e.g., Kenya). • Ability to craft and deliver high-quality cost-benefit analyses utilizing technical, financial, and operational parameters. • Availability for an assignment lasting a maximum of 40 days, with optional travel. • Excellent English communication skills. • Familiarity with inverter or solar technologies to address challenges such as load shedding. • Home office setup.
