Industrial Designer Needed for Custom Garment Display Stand (CAD + Manufacturing Drawings)
Description: We are looking to design a custom garment display stand similar to the reference image attached. This stand will be used in retail environments to display T-shirts on hangers and folded garments on shelves. The design must be ready for fabrication in India. Scope of Work: The designer will be responsible for: ✔ Industrial/structural design ✔ 3D modeling (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar) ✔ Technical drawings for fabrication ✔ DXF/DWG files for laser cutting (sheet metal) ✔ Bill of Materials (BOM) with materials & finishes ✔ Assembly + exploded view drawings ✔ Estimated weight & stability considerations ✔ Optional renderings for presentation (preferred) Design Requirements: • Hanging rail for T-shirts • 3–5 shelves for folded garments • Powder-coated metal frame • Laminated wood or MDF shelves • Lockable castor wheels for mobility • Should be manufacturable using standard Indian workshops (laser cutting + bending + welding + powder coating) • Must be structurally stable and safe for retail environments Deliverables: The final deliverables must include: 1. CAD 3D model files (.STEP or SolidWorks) 2. Complete 2D fabrication drawings (PDF + DWG/DXF) 3. BOM with materials, thicknesses, finishing, hardware, & casters 4. Exploded view assembly drawing 5. Renderings (preferred but optional) Ideal Candidate: We are looking for designers with experience in: • Retail store fixtures • Sheet metal furniture • POP/POS display units • Industrial product design • Metal fabrication or furniture engineering • Manufacturing/production drawings Additional Notes: This design will be fabricated in India (Coimbatore/Tiruppur region), so familiarity with Indian workshop fabrication processes is a plus but not required.
