Indirect Channel Sales Manager, Division Portable Metrology

Summary

The Indirect Channel Sales Manager functions within the Hexagon Metrology Devices Sales organization and is responsible for applying standard Hexagon solutions to existing and new market segments and moving opportunities through the sales process in support of Channel Partners. Typical functions include identifying sales opportunities, performing best-in-class product and software demonstrations, supporting projects prior and post-sale, and collaborating with the channel partner sales team to maximize Hexagon sales revenue. This specific position focuses on Portable Metrology solutions (Hardware & Software).

Job Responsibilities
• Develop and train Channel Partners
• Coordinate customer requirements and processes with our product features and benefits.
• Demonstrate hardware and software solutions within the manufacturing environment.
• Be able to show how our Hexagon solutions solve real customer problems.
• Be able to train our channel partners to emulate the same success.
• Communicate the benefits of Hexagon’s Portable Solutions for complex manufacturing applications.
• Develop best-in-class hardware and software demonstrations focused on Channel Partners’ needs & requirements.
• Sales Responsibilities
• Work as an integral part of the Channel Partner sales team.
• Drive Channel Partners to meet their sales revenue targets, in coordination with the local Senior Managers.
• Develop Quarterly Business Reviews in coordination with the Channel Partners and local Senior Managers.
• Consult customer & Channel Partners to develop valuable software and hardware solutions.
• Foster long-term relationships with Channel Partners.
• Document and advance the sales process, via Salesforce.com.
• Monitor local market and customer trends for market potential and development of forecasts and sales strategies for the channel partners.
• Evaluate new Channel Partners with management for potential on-boarding.
• Work with Channel Operations and local Senior Managers on contracts for new and existing channel partners.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or mathematics discipline
• Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in customer-facing support or sales of software/hardware high tech products.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing and or metrology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be comfortable speaking before small to medium sized groups
• Capable in Microsoft Windows OS administration and troubleshooting (including hardware integration)
• Device Manager, Network settings, Event logs, Host files
• Driver installation and configuration
• Able to work on issues independently and with team members in a proactive fashion.
• Role requires a self-driven, highly motivated, and flexible individual who can efficiently prioritize and adjust their schedule to adapt to a very dynamic environment. Must perform duties with minimal supervision.
• 60%+ travel will be required
