What To Expect
As an Incoming Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for critical component development, quality management, continuous improvement, qualification activities at suppliers and for managing the incoming quality program. The job requires effective communication at all levels both with internal and external teams, conducting failure analysis, leading statistical process control activities for critical components, process development, First Article Inspection planning and execution and on-the-spot critical decision making.

What You'll Do

  • Drive improvements utilizing Lean methodologies, Statistical Process Control, scorecards, ensuring supplier compliance, whilst driving systematic problem solving and process improvement plans
  • Based on performance and business needs, set priorities for cross functional teams and suppliers
  • Develop positive relationships to manage, implement, and track supplier/engineering, design changes, capacity studies and New Product Introductions
  • First Article Inspection planning and execution and development, implementation and managment of incoming quality processes
  • Provide leadership and guidance during investigations of major problems and or special projects focusing on incoming quality inspections
  • Perform root cause analysis, coordinate, and conduct specialized testing and measurement
  • Keep up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends that concern product quality


  • What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Six Sigma or ASQ certification is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of PPAP/APQP processes
  • In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and sampling inspection
  • Knowledge in Statistics, Statistical Process Control and data mining and analysis
  • Possess demonstrable leadership abilities and previous experience managing safety critical parts
  • Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level with proven results in meeting customer requirements
  • Ability to define and execute a project using project management techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Expected Compensation

    $75,600 - $189,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
