Inbound Routing/Transportation Manager

Location:Fully Remote Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Inbound Routing Transportation Manager: * Project Management:Conduct a comprehensive analysis of inbound transportation costs across approximately 60 suppliers and 1.2 million annual purchase orders, including ship-from and ship-to data, piece counts, and weight * Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with internal teams and external carriers to gather rate proposals and establish potential cost savings opportunities. * Procedure Development:Segment and evaluate the current transportation process into strategic change management categories (e.g., private fleet, controllable carriers, contractual restrictions). * Training Assessment:Recommend training or support necessary to ensure teams understand and adopt new routing strategies. * Process Evaluation:Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on current and future state analyses to drive cost-effective routing improvements. * Documentation & Reporting:Summarize findings in executive-level presentations, including headcount and technology recommendations to operationalize the strategy.
