Job Title: In-House Accountant
Location: Suwanee, GA (On-site | Hybrid Options May Be Available)
Job Type: Full-Time | W-2 or 1099 (Depending on Candidate Preference)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced In-House Accountant to manage the financial operations across multiple businesses under our holding company. This is a key position that involves overseeing day-to-day accounting, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance, and supporting tax preparation across all entities.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle full-cycle accounting for all businesses under the holding company
• Maintain general ledgers, reconcile accounts, and manage month-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for each entity
• Coordinate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and tax filings (in collaboration with external CPA if needed)
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements
• Set up and maintain accounting systems and processes to support business growth
• Work with outside tax professionals or offer in-house tax prep for business and client needs (optional but preferred)
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience (multi-entity experience strongly preferred)
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or other accounting software
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax basics
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with business owners
• CPA or EA certification is a plus, but not required
