JOB SUMMARY: The Billing Specialist is responsible for invoicing all clients in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong computer skills, and excellent organizational skills. The Billing Specialist works in a fast-paced environment requiring tasks be completed in a timely manner. This position requires attention to detail and responsiveness to all client requests. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and issue accurate invoices for professional services rendered Monitor and track billing schedules to ensure timely invoicing Reconcile billing discrepancies and address client inquiries timely and professionally Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of billing activities Coachable and adept to change Collaborate with finance and client service teams to enhance billing processes Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies Maintain accurate and organized daily records with high attention to detail Critical thinking to interpret and apply complex billing instructions Generate detailed financial reports to support decision-making Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for all coding and billing processes SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of professional services billing experience Experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or Quickbooks online accounting system preferred Understanding of the billing process from start to finish Experience with Monday.com preferred Clear understanding of GAAP accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Team player with a keen eye for detail Experience with 1099 contractor professional services billing required Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment LOCATION: This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones Our Employer Value Proposition Includes A competitive compensation package with 401K match Flexible PTO and 12 paid holidays Robust Health & Welfare Benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance, all with generous company contributions Career development programs supported through an integrated Learning Platform Talent Identification Program to recognize and reward our high performing, high potential team members through career growth opportunities and unique development experiences IMS Legal Services is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
