What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Efficiently manage and process customs entries to ensure accurate and compliant submissions
- Review and input customs data meticulously to avoid errors
- Clearly articulate complex documentation requirements to enhance customer understanding
- Proactively resolve issues by collaborating with customers and internal teams
- Conduct thorough checks to ensure compliance with customs regulations, particularly FDA and PGA standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Solid understanding of customs laws and regulations (FDA, PGA, CBP)
- Experience with customs brokerage software and assigning HTS commodity codes
- Ability to apply correct IEEPA, Reciprocal, and Section 232 additional tariffs
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex procedures clearly
- Resourceful and adaptable in addressing challenges and handling customer inquiries
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Extensive experience in customs brokerage
- Customs brokerage experience within the last 12 months
- CCS/CES certification
