The ServiceNow Architect is responsible for the health and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. This includes platform maintenance/upgrades, and overseeing the design and implementation of all small enhancements and project-related transformational changes to the platform. This ServiceNow Architect a technical subject management expert responsible for the architecture, design, development, administration, and rollout of solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
The ServiceNow Architect will work with internal customers, Scrum Masters, Technical Product Managers, ServiceNow developers, and 3rd parties to design, develop, test, and deploy enhancements, fixes, integrations, and configuration changes needed to support the enterprise.
As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all platform version and patch upgrades including all coordination with the vendor.
Ensure the health, safety, and performance of the platform by ensure all changes to all modules within the platform are designed within CSDM best practices.
Oversee all design work within the platform related to Project work performed internally and by 3rd parties, internal small enhancements, and citizen development activities.
Perform development and configuration of a variety of areas including, but not limited to Service Portal, Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change,
Knowledge, Release / SDLC, Asset Management, Human Resource Management, Configuration Management (CMDB), Mobility and Reporting.
Provide design support and development to, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, flow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, automation and custom application development.
Scope and design solutions and/or integrations for documented business and technical needs, with an emphasis on / preference for minimizing customization.
Design technical solutions to address complex requirements, evaluate alternate solutions, identify the best option, and implement the solution. Design, develop and configure workflows, forms, scripts, and underlying logic using Scrum / Agile methodologies.
Formulate and implement, when necessary, a QA/ATF strategy, with solutions for unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Contribute to design, and coding standards for development teams to follow.
Perform evaluation and rollout of new applications and solutions in ServiceNow both proactively and as requested.
Design, build, rollout and support the technical framework to support distributed/shared development on the platform.
Must Haves:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field of study and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
A higher level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Experience with .NET (C#), WCF, MVC, jQuery, JavaScript
Background in SQL Development (insert/update, stored procedures, triggers), Application Integration, Web application development, HTML, DHTML, CSS
Certified ServiceNow Administrator
Wide and deep understanding of the entire ServiceNow platform
Experience implementing multiple ITSM services including Service Catalog efforts including approval and workflows
Good understanding of CSDM good practices and a history of implementing ServiceNow solutions aligned with CSDM
Excellent written & verbal communication and documentation skills
Subject matter expertise and the ability to lead, guide and mentor others
Preferred:
Certified ServiceNow Developer or Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist
ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Certification(s)
Experience implementing multiple ServiceNow modules including: ITAM/SAM PRO, ITOM/CMDB/Discover/Service Mapping, HR, GRC / IRM , Vulnerability Management, ETC.
Experience implementation GenerativeAI and AIOps service offerings Relevant software development certifications.
