Job description: Job Description Summary The Lead Reliability Systems Engineer at our EPISCenter in Dayton, OH will be responsible for developing Reliability, Maintainability & Testability program plans, leading the RM&T program execution, and developing practical and innovative ways to identify and meet design requirements. This position will require an in-depth knowledge of RM&T activities, will have responsibility for work that is less defined in scope, and will utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives.
Job Description
The EPISCenter Lead RM&T Systems Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of leading projects including analyzing requirements, modeling, writing specifications, managing suppliers, leading teams, managing cost and schedule, subsystem validation, verification and demonstration, and providing support for testing. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, plus have the ability to affect short-term and long-term business goals.
In addition, you will:
Generate RM&T requirements and allocate to the system, subsystem and unit levels
Perform RM&T analyses and predictions at the system, subsystem and unit levels
Perform reliability prediction analysis using generally accepted methodologies and failure rate sources such as MIL-HDBK-217, RIAC-HDBK-217Plus, or field experience data
Perform Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis and Testability Analysis to support the design process and to provide input to Safety and Logistics analyses
Perform maintainability prediction analysis using generally accepted methodologies such as MIL-HDBK-472
Assess maintainability/human factor design capabilities in accordance with MIL-STD-1472
Required Characteristics
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering role
This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Understanding of circuit design and analysis
Familiarity with software design and verification
Familiarity with complex logic design and verification
Understanding of the principles of the entire engineering development process, the associated documentation flow and associated tools
Strong technical aptitude, including engineering tools and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Understanding and use of Microsoft Office applications
