Job description: A vacancy exists for a Special Education Teacher- Learning Support- ESY Inclusive within the CCIU's Division of Student Services. This position will be located at the Child & Career Development Center in Coatesville, PA.
The CCIU is currently offering a sign on bonus of up to $1,500 for candidates who apply and are subsequently hired for a position between March 16, 2023, and October 31, 2023. More information will be shared with eligible individuals at the time of hire.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a bachelor level degree in education required.
PDE Special Education certification required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Instruct individuals and groups in special education skill areas.
Provide specially designed instruction for eligible special education students.
Plan curriculum and lessons.
Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behavior.
Support objectives and interventions of the educational program.
Maintain safe physical environment of the classroom.
Maintain contact with parents of students and/or professionals concerning student progress.
When appropriate, develop IEPs addressing specific academic, behavioral, and speech needs of students
Prepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as required.
Function as integral member of treatment/IEP team, addressing needs of students.
Salary - 2023-2024 School Year (Professional):
$58,604 - $92,651 Emergency Certified
$60,479 - $95,184 - Instructional I
$63,117 - $98,996 - Instructional II
$64,924 - $103,549 - Instructional II plus 15 credits
$67,145 - $108,106 - Master's degree
$70,061 - $112,362 - Master's degree plus 15 credits
$71,587 - $114,399 - Master's degree plus 30 credits
Schedule:
7.5 hrs/day, 5 days/wk (Monday - Friday), 213 Days Year 1, 210 Days Years After
