Job description: Huntington Learning Center in Issaquah is hiring PART-TIME TUTORS for the Reading and English language sections of the ACT and SAT.
A fixture in the Issaquah Community for over 20 years, Huntington Learning Center Issaquah is the largest and most well-established tutoring and test prep business in Issaquah. We serve a large number of students and provide tutors with a comprehensive training program, regular feedback and professional development, and a fun place to work.
At Huntington, you will be able to:
- Establish a schedule that works for your circumstances, then let us do the rest of the work to bring students to you
- Convenience and safety of tutoring in a professional learning center environment.
- Focus on teaching students without the requirement for lesson plan creation, grading papers or parent meetings.
- Great environment for current & retired teachers, recent graduates, and retired professionals
- Paid training - initial and ongoing

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience with writing, critical reading, and/or English language instruction
- Friendly and encouraging demeanor in 1-1 settings
- Available to work at least 2-3 days per week, hours could be as little as 8-10 and as many as 30-35 per week.
- Most tutoring hours are after school (3-8pm) and weekends - this is a great second job
- Must be local ? within reasonable commuting distance to Issaquah, WA (no out of state candidates please)
- Must be vaccinated against Covid-19
COMPENSATION:
- $22-25/hour depending on experience
- Eligible for retention bonus after six months with positive performance review
