QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
Highly qualified status in Spanish (FF) or other Foreign Language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience teaching HS students
Ability to build positive relationships with students.
Strong communication skills
Ability to use student achievement data to steer instruction.
Knowledge of Standards-Based Grading
Knowledge of best practices in teaching
To address the need to bring top candidates in our district during the current shortage, all new DEA members will be hired on a minimum of Step 3 of our DEA Contract, which starts at more than $40,000 per year. Years of experience will be taken into consideration. Those hired will also be offered either Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Blue Care Network medical insurance options available with outstanding coverage, plus dental, vision and LTD, etc OR at least $5000 cash in lieu of benefits, depending on exact needs.
