Key Responsibilities Assist Anchor Teachers in elementary and PreK-8 schools with instructional duties, including leading small group instruction, developing lesson plans, and providing personalized support to students. Cover classes and duties when needed, ensuring continuity of instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment. Utilize technology to support online learning and facilitate the use of new technologies in the classroom. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, demonstrating excellent listening and interpersonal skills. Adapt teaching styles to diverse student populations, promoting inclusivity and equity in the classroom. Maintain accurate records, manage classroom materials, and ensure a safe and healthy learning environment. Participate in ongoing evaluation and feedback, refining your teaching practices and developing your professional skills. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be considered for the NextGen Educators Clinical Fellowship program, you must: Be a matriculated major in a teacher preparation program at CCSU, WCSU, SCSU, or USJ. Commit to working at least three days per week, with a schedule that accompanies your application. Possess a valid Motor Vehicle operator's license (if required). Demonstrate knowledge of core curriculum areas, educational philosophy, teaching methods, and child development principles. Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Be able to adapt to diverse student populations and teaching environments. Preferred qualifications include: Prior experience working with children or in educational settings. Familiarity with instructional technologies and online learning platforms. Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Scientific Research-Based Interventions (SRBI).
