Accent on Languages, located in the Bay Area, is looking for linguists to fill virtual translating assignments. We have a contract with a client who is seeking translation and editing services for materials regarding disaster relief and response.
Languages needed: Amharic, Tigrinya, Somali, Swahili, Khmer, Thai, Yiddish, Hmong, Tamil, Malay, Lao, Polish, Urdu, Indonesian, Burmese, and Samoan.
Qualifications:
ΓΒ US Citizen, Green Card holder, or Permanent US Resident - applicant must live and work in the US.
ΓΒ Experience in Translation and/or Interpreting
ΓΒ Any certification is a plus, but not required. For example,
ΓΒ a current voting member in good standing of the American Translators Association,
ΓΒ and/or a current member in good standing of the American Association of Language Specialists,
ΓΒ and/or a certified and registered interpreter on the Judicial Council Master List,
