Position Overview: Online Client Engineer
They are seeking an Online Client Engineer to help shape the online services that form the backbone of our gaming experiences. In this role, you'll be crucial in implementing key multiplayer functionalities that elevate our projects and ensure top-tier gaming experiences for our clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in bringing engaging multiplayer features to life.
Key Responsibilities
 Contribute to the delivery of high-quality multiplayer gaming experiences.
 Work closely with design and engineering teams to implement multiplayer game features.
 Ensure that online solutions are seamlessly integrated with a strong focus on security, reliability, and performance.
 Translate both technical and user requirements into functional applications in collaboration with design and production teams.
 Integrate online services into client-facing applications effectively.
Required Skills And Qualifications
 Deep passion for multiplayer gaming.
 Proficiency with Unreal Engine.
 Strong debugging and optimization skills, particularly in multi-threaded and networked environments.
 Experience with object-oriented programming languages, preferably C++ and C#.
 Knowledge of game-specific networking concepts, including object replication, client-server and peer-to-peer architectures, server migration, dedicated servers, time synchronisation, prediction, QoS, and voice integration.
 Familiarity with online gaming platforms like Xbox Live, PSN, Steam, or similar.
 Experience in developing features such as sign-in flows, matchmaking, progression systems, user-generated content (UGC), downloadable content (DLC) systems, and leaderboards.
 Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or equivalent.
