This position comes with an attractive salary of a competitive salary.   Job title: GSRP Classroom Teacher Company: Battle Creek Public Schools Job description : A Great Start Readiness Program Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year olds, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the GSRP grant. They strive to create a safe and comfortable environment for students to learn and interact with others. Required Professional Preparation and Experience: Degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood The successful candidate will have one of the following: A Child Development Associate credential (CDA) An Associate of Arts in early childhood/preschool education or child development One hundred twenty (120) clock hours of documented formal child care education offered by approved training organizations and approved by the Michigan Department of Education A four-year degree with an endorsement in early childhood education. ?Recommendation by an administrator who has supervised the work of the candidate for at least one (1) year. CPR and First Aid certification are required. Must exercise discretion and confidentiality in dealing with staff and operations. Major Responsibilities: Follow all licensing guidelines related to the Great Start Readiness Program, including meeting with families on-site, maintain the appropriate staff to student ratio, and keep accurate COR notes. Implement developmentally-appropriate instruction for children using research-based curriculum Maintain accurate students records in accordance with license renewal requirements Enrolling new students Help advertise the program in and beyond the community. Enter weekly Health ReportsCollaborate with kindergarten staff to build a connection and smooth transition for students moving out of the program the following fall.
