Key Responsibilities
Work safely, quickly, and efficiently handling freight and inventory throughout the warehouse
Ensure accurate processing, packing, loading, and shipping of freight
Check merchandise to ensure that shipment is accurate and merchandise is not damaged
Unload trailers by hand and with pallet jacks and other equipment as needed
Assist in various receiving duties, including verifying shipments and processing returns
Assist in other general warehouse duties on an as-needed basis, including maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
Lift up to 70 lbs. frequently and stand, walk, lift, and load boxes for 8+ hours
Demonstrate a team-oriented mindset and collaborate with colleagues to achieve warehouse goals
Essential Qualifications
To succeed as a General Warehouse Associate at Dollar Tree, you will need:
At least 1 year of previous warehouse experience, preferably in a distribution center environment
The ability to lift up to 70 lbs. frequently and stand, walk, lift, and load boxes for 8+ hours
Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accurate processing and shipping of freight
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and management
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt to changing warehouse priorities
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and/or other inventory management software
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices
Previous experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals
