Key Responsibilities: Guiding Student Success in a Virtual Environment


Provide virtual instruction to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring that IEP goals are met and progress is tracked.
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in collaboration with parents, school staff, and other stakeholders.
Utilize engaging, research-based teaching methods tailored to students' specific needs, promoting academic, social, and emotional growth.
Conduct virtual assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for growth, informing instruction and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Monitor and document student progress, using data to drive instruction and promote student success.
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure a supportive learning environment for all students, fostering a culture of inclusivity and understanding.
Stay up-to-date on special education regulations, laws, and best practices, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements and maintaining the highest standards of professional practice.


Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate

To excel in this role, you'll need:


A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in special education principles and practices.
An active Oklahoma Special Education teaching certification, showcasing your expertise and commitment to the field.
Experience developing and implementing IEPs, with a proven track record of driving student progress and success.
Prior experience working in a virtual setting is highly desirable, as is experience with online learning platforms and technologies.
A strong knowledge of special education laws, including IDEA and 504 plans, ensuring you're well-versed in the regulatory landscape.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in a remote environment.
The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of productivity in a flexible, autonomous work setting.
