Job Summary
The Mechanical Quality Control Inspector reports directly to the Quality Supervisor and plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as owner and client requirements for each project. This position requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including quality control, inspection, and documentation. Key Responsibilities

Assists in the processing of installation procedures, ensuring compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans.
Notifies supervisors of any discrepancies found between work completed and material installed and owner or client quality requirements.
Performs special processes and field installation inspections and surveillance, of equipment and materials, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Conducts field in-process welding inspections to ensure adherence to quality protocols.
Updates and maintains Quality Control files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Reviews engineering drawings and tracks quality progress based on scope of work, identifying areas for improvement.


Other Job Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor or management.
Participates in training sessions, seminars, and educational classes to enhance knowledge and skills in quality control and inspection.


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:

2-4 years of experience in engineering and quality control, or a relevant field.
A current AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Computer skills commensurate with programming and job applications.


Preferred Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
1 year of directly related work experience may qualify to substitute 1 year of education to meet the education requirement.
Experience working in a warehouse and outdoor environments, with exposure to extreme weather patterns.
