Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
Provide appropriate Math, Science, and Social Studies instruction in the General Education Development Program, following VRABE guidelines and written curriculum
Teach assigned students on Monday evenings (5:30-8:30 p.m.) at Rockville High School and Thursday evenings (5:30-8:30 p.m.) at East Windsor High School
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of adult learners
Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction to ensure students are meeting their educational goals
Collaborate with colleagues and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in adult education and GED instruction
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must hold a valid 107 CT certification for GED instruction. Additionally, you should have:
A strong background in Math, Science, and Social Studies, with the ability to teach a range of subjects and skill levels
Experience teaching adult learners, preferably in a GED or similar program
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills, with the ability to engage and motivate adult learners
