THE POSITION - EXPEDITED OPERATIONS REP (NIGHT SHIFT - REMOTE)
The Expedited Operations Rep is responsible for planning carrier capacity, order management, negotiations with vendors, customer relationship management, price negotiation, and other dispatcher functions utilizing a modern TMS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Work remotely (night shift).
 Load and route planning.
 Inbound order processing.
 Covering loads with carrier capacity.
 Coordinate and assign drivers to specific routes and loads based on availability, proximity, and customer requirements.
 Maintain effective communication with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and any necessary information related to their routes.
 Monitor driver progress and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
 Address any potential issues or delays in a proactive and efficient manner.
 Collaborate with the operations team to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency.
 Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including driver assignments, route details, and any relevant information.
 Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
 Adhere to all transportation regulations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
 Coordinate with maintenance staff to address any truck issues or repairs that may impact delivery schedules.
 Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to trucking and logistics.
 Other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
 High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
 Proven experience as an open deck/heavy haul dispatcher is required.
 Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and team members.
 Proficient in using dispatching software and transportation management systems.
 Knowledge of geographical areas and routes to ensure efficient dispatching.
 Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions to resolve issues.
 Familiarity with trucking regulations and compliance requirements.
 Familiarity with Tableau is a plus.
 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
