Illustrator, Freelance
Job Description: • Create visually appealing images for online materials, including engaging illustrations that complement stories and mathematically and scientifically precise diagrams, graphs, and maps • Maintain visual consistency and ensure adherence to IXL style guidelines • Effectively manage multiple illustration projects under tight deadlines • Revise images based on feedback from curriculum designers Requirements: • Strong craftsmanship and illustration skills with a keen eye for design • A degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, or a related field • The ability to create engaging, clean, kid-friendly illustrations and designs (both SVGs and raster images) that align with IXL's style guidelines • Experience as an illustrator/graphic designer for online content, preferably in an education-related field • Proficiency with Adobe Suite, particularly Illustrator • Excellent attention to detail and strong organization skills • Receptive to feedback and able to internalize feedback to apply it to future projects • Proven ability to manage multiple design requests efficiently and meet deadlines • Experience sourcing and manipulating images from Shutterstock Benefits: • This is a remote, 1099 consulting role for three months with a possible extension.
