Identify and scrape/acquire datasets on property owners (demographics, financials, key life events) - Contract to Hire
Looking to run data science analysis to make property-level transaction predictions. To start, focused on NYC but long-term would need for major US cities.
Part I: Looking to identify what datasets are available (both public and private but need to be accessible either through scraping or low cost) on individual property owners...
Information ideally includes:
- Demographic information (marital status, employment, children)
- Financials (income estimation [ideally annual], debt and change in debt levels)
- Property-level (mortgage, outstanding principal, interest rate, time living in residence, renovations)
- Building-level (tenant aggregate tenures, financial profiles)
- Key life events (becoming parents, moving, losing/gaining employment)
- Information on what insights can be gained from social media or other open sources
Part II: Depending on data availability, execute data acquisition and data analysis. To discuss further depending on outcome of Part I.
Scope: Need to move fast, would ideally like to get a status report within a week after project commences about data availability and costs for the various data sets. If there is significant data availability, there's potential for this project to turn into a full-time role
