Job Summary ICU Medical Records Reviewer – Contract Position • *Location:** Remote (with possible in-person legal appearance if required) • *Contract Duration & Compensation:** · - Estimated Time Commitment: ~5 hours · - Compensation: $500 for the initial records review · - Additional Compensation: $1,500 if called to testify, plus reimbursement for airfare (up to business class) Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified medical professional with an MSN degree and a strong background in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings to support the review of a patient's medical records. This review will be conducted in collaboration with a Medical Information Expert and is part of a broader legal review process. The objective is to assess whether the care provided met standard policies, procedures, and common practices for ICU care. Responsibilities: · Conduct a thorough review of patient medical records related to ICU treatment. · Identify any missing, incomplete, or inconsistent documentation based on standard of care and ICU protocols. · Collaborate with a Medical Information Expert to provide insights and professional opinions. · Prepare written notes or summaries of findings as requested. · If required, testify in a legal proceeding (additional compensation and travel coverage provided). Qualifications: · Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) – Required · Minimum 3 years of direct experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Required · Strong knowledge of ICU standards of care, documentation practices, and common procedures · Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills · Prior experience in legal consulting or case review (preferred but not required) Additional Details: · Work is performed remotely. · Must be available for potential testimony if necessary, with travel costs covered. · Confidentiality and professionalism are strictly required.
