Position Title: ICT Engineer IIIPosition Location: Remote - work virtually from anywhere in the United StatesJOB SUMMARYThe ICT Engineer III will collaborate with design and Design staff and contribute to ICT design and project management activities for mission critical hyperscale and colocation data center and smart building / city projects. This person will interact closely with ICT group technical staff to support project management, design and drafting efforts.The ICT Engineer III will receive limited direction on day-to-day work and general instruction on new projects or assignments. Will assist project leadership on automation projects of complex scope. Will work independently or under limited supervision.This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSContribute to ICT Engineering Design Activities (95%)Perform Information Communication Technology (ICT) design tasks for structured cabling, security, and A/V systemsPerform computation analysis and design tasks for complex projects, components and systemsDevelop scalable fiber optic and copper plant design with minimal supervisionDetermine physical layer route and utilization with minimal supervisionUtilize AutoCAD and Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aidsReview and / or prepare book or sheet specificationsTimely and effective management of project design team including resource forecasting and coordinationIdentify potential project scope changes and aid in development of strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlinesPerform QAQC peer reviews for projects where he or she is not the lead design engineerSurvey existing building conditions and prepares technical reports of findingsCollect data and other information for construction documentsPrepare project design, specification and construction documentsAdministrative (5%)Review and distribute daily reportingAccountable for project contract administrationManage personal and project hours using company toolsCreate / complete departmental reports Technology, Digital Tools & AI-Enabled EfficiencyLeverage AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support consistent, high-quality work output.Identify opportunities to improve processes and demonstrate a continuous learning mindset, seeking out new technologies, skills, and methods that elevate individual and team performance.Adapt to emerging technologies and evolving digital workflows, actively supporting the integration and adoption of innovative tools across the organization.Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on BudgetPerforms Other Related Duties as AssignedRequirementsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING)Knowledge of fiber optic component, cabling and interconnect productsKnowledge in ICT structured cabling design technologies and standardsKnowledge in Audio Visual (AV), Access Control and CCTV designs and standardsSkilled at using RevitSkilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file managementSkilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detailAbility to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovationAbility to follow company and site safety requirementsAbility to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondenceAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contactAbility to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervisionAbility to work under pressure and meet close deadlinesOrganizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspaceAbility to work in interdepartmental groups in multi-role effortsAbility to identify and analyze complex problems, evaluate alternatives and implement effective solutionsAbility to effectively plan and delegate the work of othersAbility to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The following physical demands must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
