This role will support a fast-paced growing business by developing electrical designs to meet the expectations of our customers. This role will also require excellence in project coordination, including software and firmware file management, and the ability to mentor and knowledge share with junior level electrical engineers.If you are interested in furthering your career as an Electrical Engineering professional, this is an opportunity you need to explore!Why Hyper Solutions?Competitive salary and benefits package including: Employer Paid Medical, dental and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance, Company paid short-term and long term disability 401K Plan with company matching Generous PTO policy and paid holidaysCollaborative and innovative work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Essential Duties & Functions:Design switchboards, modular power pods, and power distribution assemblies.Produce single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.Ensure adherence to UL, NEC, IEC, and safety standards.Develop modular, scalable, and cost-optimized designs.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure manufacturability and reliability.Participate in new product development initiatives.Create and execute test protocols for electrical performance.Drive UL/IEC certification processes.Ensure product safety, reliability, and sustainability.Work with Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering on product launches.Interface with suppliers, labs, and customers for technical support.Perform root cause analysis for field/product issues.Recommend design enhancements to increase reliability and efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).10+ years in electrical design of power distribution equipment (switchboards, switchgear, PDUs, etc.).Knowledge of UL891, UL1062, UL1008, UL1558, NEC, IEC standards.CAD proficiency (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar).Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems (up to 38kV).Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the time.Electrical Testing Knowledge / Experience.Ability to knowledge share and mentor junior level electrical engineers.Hyper Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to compliance with all applicable laws prohibiting employment discrimination.
