About the position
The Staff Accountant position at Aston Carter is a hybrid role focused on supporting the finance and accounting team on a contractual basis. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with financial regulations and involves maintaining day-to-day accounting activities, cost accounting, and assisting with month-end close activities.
Responsibilities
Ā Cost accounting, including familiarity with standard cost systems, BOM set up, and variance analysis.

Ā Fixed Asset management.

Ā Perform monthly account reconciliations and monthly journal entries.
,
Ā Support day-to-day operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and production accounting.

Ā Support year-end financial audit; provide documents and support to external auditors as requested.
Requirements
Ā Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Ā Minimum of 5 years experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
,
Ā Proficiency in financial software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
,
Ā Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
,
Ā Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
,
Ā Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
,
Ā Strong written and verbal communication skills.
