As a Hybrid Social Worker, you will play a vital role in driving student success, providing preventive work, consultation, and support to students, staff, and families. Key Responsibilities:
Provide preventive work with students, staff, and families, including consultation, home visits, and community engagements
Conduct social work evaluations and related assessments for initial evaluations and re-evaluations
Provide related services as prescribed by Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), including social skills, life skills, and transitional skills
Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, IEP meetings, manifestation determination meetings, and other related meetings
Collaborate with the Student Support Team (SST) to develop plans of assistance for students at risk of academic and/or behavioral difficulty
Coordinate school and community services, serving as a home-school-community liaison responsible for effective resource utilization and positive relations with stakeholders
Qualifications:
Master's of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of social work with a minimum of 60 graduate semester hours
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the District of Columbia
District of Columbia Certification as a School Social Worker
At least two years of work experience as a Social Worker in an urban school/setting with a track record of high student achievement
Understanding of child development, psychopathology, social and environmental conditioning, cultural diversity, and family systems
