About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Emerging Middle Market Business Development Representative in the South Carolina Market supporting the Southeast Region as part of the Commercial Bank to increase momentum and drive growth with a focused effort exclusively on sourcing new relationships. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.comIn this role you will:Prospect companies with annual gross sales between $25MM to $100MM and remain engaged until prospects are successfully converted to customersTarget establishing complete C&I relationships that are comprised of commercial lending, treasury management, deposit and other credit solutionsPartner with Commercial Relationship Managers to cross sell appropriate products and services, prioritize prospects, develop pursuit strategy, create proposals, manage new customer acquisitions, and onboarding process for customersIncrease Wells Fargo's and the Commercial Bank's relevance to prospective customers and product partners for new business opportunities through consistent marketing efforts and delivery of value added ideasParticipate in initiatives and deliverables within Commercial Banking Business Development functional areaMeet business objectives while leveraging solid understanding of functional area operations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements with an emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation Collaborate and consult with Commercial Banking Business Development peers, colleagues, and middle level managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsRequired Qualifications:5+ years of Emerging Middle Market Business Development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired qualifications:Proven track record and experience in direct sourcing and prospecting new clientsEmerging Middle Market relationship management experienceEstablished network in the local marketExisting local in-market network to fuel business developmentExperience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areasTreasury Management product knowledgeExperience building relationships with community organizations and key community influencersProven ability to develop and execute a sales strategyExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsEffective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Proficient with MS technology platforms (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)Credit acumen demonstrated through educationRisk management experience to include understanding of the responsibility to protect sensitive informationBachelor’s degreeJob expectations:This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorshipThis position offers a hybrid work scheduleSpecific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
