**This position is remote and based in one of the following states: AK, AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, TX, UT, WA, WYWhat you will doThe primary role of the HVAC Service Development Sales Manager will be leading a team of Service Sales professionals in growing the service business for the Pacific Southwest Region. In this position, there will be a focus on strategic HVAC Service Sales. You will make key decisions aimed at actualizing the Johnson Controls corporate mission to exceed the ever-increasing expectations of our customer.How you will do itOversee the local market teams to help sell, develop, deliver, and support JCI products and services for both new and existing customers in the region.Analyze local markets and current business performance to ensure strategies are effective in meeting planned profits and recommend adjustments to the plan when necessary.Develop and deliver on long and short-term strategic objectives for profitability and growth; develop business plans. Works to grow vertical market sales.Partner with local Market leadership (Market General Manager, Sales & Operations)Will lead a team that both direct reports up and is dotted line to the market.Understand the business environment within targeted markets, including: growth trends, legislation, and competitors; drive cash flow through effective execution of payment terms, proactive billing and collections.Establish plan for staffing levels and take action to achieve optimum resource levels.Develop sales reps utilizing available training and development tools; builds a culture of performance management and individual accountability.Establish and maintain personal long-term relationships with strategically important customers to ensure customer satisfaction and secure new business with acceptable, profitable margin.Conduct regular business reviews to examine business performance; lead initiatives that drive improvement and proactive resolution of customer issues. Actively work to increase market penetration across JCI offerings by expanding the scope of work within existing projects and securing new projects.Strong emphasis on acquiring new customers and re-engaging former clients for JCI.Adhere to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards, demonstrating a high degree of safety awareness for all Johnson Controls employees and worksite-based subcontractors.Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local legal requirements and operates the Area with the highest business ethics.What we look for3 years experience in HVAC Industry5 years experience of sales within the building systems industryProven track record of success working in a matrix organization, dealing with conflict resolution and change management, achieving win-win resultsMust have excellent communication and written skillsDemonstrated background dealing with customer service issuesTime management, ability to prioritize effectively based on financial impact to the desired business goalsSalary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $120K-$160K (base salary plus commissions) This position includes a competitive benefits package.
