ELS is hiring for the position of Human Resources Specialist in Chicago, Illinois. Job Summary: Equity Lifestyle Properties is looking for a highly organized Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role is key to communicating across multiple channels, coordinating training sessions and learning events that help our teams thrive. Serve as a liaison to ensure timely, clear, and consistent communication of key updates, policies, initiatives, and operational information from the Home and Regional offices to Property Operations teams.
Manage multi-channel communications (email, intranet, newsletters, digital boards, collaboration platforms) tailored to the needs and preferences of diverse field teams.
Coordinate and support virtual and in-person meetings, webinars, or Q&A sessions that facilitate two-way communication and alignment between corporate leadership and field staff.
Help ensure messaging is accessible, relevant, and actionable for field employees across different roles and locations.
Establish feedback mechanisms between the Home and Regional offices and Property Ops teams to improve communication effectiveness and learning program relevance.
Collaborate with HR and operational leaders to adapt communications and training based on field input and evolving business needs.
Collect, consolidate, and analyze learning and talent-related data from field locations, including training participation, skill development, employee engagement, and talent metrics.
Prepare and deliver regular reports and dashboards for corporate HR and learning leadership, highlighting learning progress, skill gaps, talent movement, and the effectiveness of communication efforts across the field.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the data to inform strategic decisions and escalate key insights to leadership for action.
Facilitate weekly Orientation and other new hire events
What You’ll Bring:
3 years' experience in administrative or coordination role—preferably within the hospitality industry or L&D function
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with a warm and approachable style
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at once
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with LMS platforms or hospitality software is a plus
A collaborative mindset and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience supporting training or HR programs in hotels, restaurants, or resorts
Familiarity with learning tools like Zoom, or MS Teams
Relevant qualifications or coursework in Human Resources, Hospitality, or Business Administration

Estimated compensation for this position in the states of BC, CA, CO, IL, MD, MN, NJ, NY, and WA is: Annual Salary: $55,000 - $62,500 The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
