Position Summary: The HRIS Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration, optimization, and data integrity of the Paycom HRIS platform, with a primary focus on position management and organizational data. This role partners closely with other departments to ensure accurate system configuration, reliable reporting, and scalable people processes that support workforce planning and compensation programs. The position also contributes to continuous improvement by assisting with special projects within the HR administration scope, supporting efficient operations and providing a positive employee experience. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain the Paycom HRIS platform, including system configuration, workflows, security access, and ongoing system updates. Manage and oversee position management structures, ensuring accurate job codes, reporting relationships, FTE allocations, and position lifecycle changes. Monitor and maintain data integrity by performing audits, reconciliations, and validations across HRIS and integrated systems such as payroll and timekeeping platforms. Develop, generate, and analyze reports and dashboards to support workforce planning, compensation cycles, and organizational decision-making. Collaborate with HR and operational stakeholders to translate business needs into system enhancements and process improvements. Provide end-user support, training, and troubleshooting for HRIS functionality, ensuring effective system utilization and user adoption. Licenses and Certifications Required: None required. Educational Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Experience Requirements: Experience working with large data sets with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail. Experience in HR operations, HRIS support, data administration, payroll, or a related administrative or analytical function. Exposure to HR systems, payroll platforms, or business applications through internships, academic work, or early professional experience. 1+ years of relevant experience in HR operations, HRIS support, data administration, payroll, or a related administrative or analytical role (internship experience welcome). Special Skills or Training Requirements: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including use of spreadsheets, formulas, data validation, and basic data analysis. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a data-driven environment. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. Familiarity with HR analytics, compensation processes, workforce planning, or information systems concepts. Basic understanding of HR processes and data management practices. Ability to learn, navigate, and support HR software systems; experience with Paycom or similar HRIS platforms is preferred. Physical Requirements: The HRIS Operations Specialist is primarily engaged in sedentary work, requiring prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. The role involves frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and operating standard office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting of office materials may be required, along with adequate vision and hearing to perform detailed data analysis and communication tasks. Environmental Requirements: This position operates in a professional office or remote work environment with minimal exposure to physical hazards. The role involves extended screen time, routine use of computer systems, and adherence to deadlines in a data-driven setting. The HRIS Operations Specialist must maintain confidentiality and comply with data security, privacy, and organizational policies while supporting multiple departments and priorities.
