HRIS Consultant (Payroll & HR)UK | Remote-first (with client travel)Full-time | PermanentAbout the roleWe’re looking for an experienced HRIS Consultant (Payroll & HR) to join our growing team at Silver Cloud.In this role, you’ll be part of our Client Transformation Advisory Team (CTT), partnering with clients to deliver HR and payroll system selection and implementation projects, digital reviews, and wider transformation programmes.You’ll act as a trusted advisor to HR and Payroll leaders, helping them define requirements, navigate vendor selection, and deliver successful implementations that create real business value. This is a hands-on consulting role suited to someone with a strong foundation in HR and/or payroll operations, alongside a solid understanding of how people, process, and technology work together to drive outcomes.If you enjoy variety, autonomy, and working closely with clients on meaningful transformation projects, this role offers real scope to make an impact. You’ll work across multiple systems and industries, building your expertise within a supportive, collaborative, and high-performing team.You’ll report directly to our Head of Client Transformation.
Job requirements
Strong background in HR and/or payroll, with a clear understanding of operational processes, challenges, and compliance considerations.Demonstrable experience delivering HRIS/HR tech projects, ideally across platforms such as Dayforce, HiBob, Workday, SuccessFactors, Cezanne, Cascade, and others.Proven ability to manage multiple implementation or optimisation projects simultaneously.Strong understanding of HR and payroll processes, including areas such as core HR, time and attendance, performance, compensation, and workforce planning.Prince2 qualification or equivalent project delivery experience is highly valued.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to different audiences.Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and added value.Comfortable working in a flexible, collaborative consulting environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.An inclusive communicator who values teamwork, empathy, and shared success.High attention to detail, strong organisational discipline, and a commitment to seeing actions through to completion.Experience contributing to client-facing thought leadership or industry events would be an advantage.
Job responsibilities
Lead and deliver client-side project management and consulting across HR and payroll system selections, implementations, upgrades, and optimisation projects.Partner with clients to gather business requirements, identify process improvements, and translate needs into system design and configuration recommendations.Manage project delivery from planning through to go-live, maintaining strong governance, including project plans, RAID logs, and progress reporting.Act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for clients and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.Provide training, guidance, and user adoption support to help ensure successful outcomes.Identify opportunities to add value or extend services in line with client needs and objectives.Contribute to Silver Cloud’s continuous improvement culture by refining delivery methodologies, tools, and client engagement approaches.Support brand-building activity through webinars, case studies, and participation in industry events.Maintain high delivery standards, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to Silver Cloud’s quality expectations.
