Key Responsibilities


Support high-profile projects involving major people technology and HR systems, driving business outcomes and strategic objectives
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable software solutions or processes that meet the evolving needs of our People Team and associates
Contribute to architectural decisions and provide insights into system improvements, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance
Translate HR business needs into technical requirements and actionable software solutions, communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Implement secure design practices, safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance with industry standards
Foster effective collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams, aligning priorities and driving smooth coordination for incident response, system maintenance, and upgrades
Support the creation of the enterprise-level technology roadmap for the GEICO People Team, driving business demands and strategic objectives


Candidate Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. We're looking for candidates with:


Knowledge of Workday HR systems in at least one of the following areas: Absence, Core HCM, Recruiting, Reporting, and Time Tracking
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving operational efficiency and automation
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience with enterprise-level documentation authoring and design, ensuring clear and concise communication


Essential Experience and Education


2+ years of experience with HR/People systems (Workday preferred), demonstrating a deep understanding of HR technology and its applications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience, providing a solid foundation in technical and business principles
