HR Payroll Specialist
Looking for a HR Payroll Specialist to manage and oversee the payroll functions of our organization. In addition to payroll, the candidate must also collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure compensation practices align with our company's policies and objectives. The key responsibilities are:
Payroll responsibilities:
Ā Process payroll for each pay period, Weekly-Field & Bi-Weekly-Office
Ā Calculate employee pay based on time, benefits, and taxes
Ā Collect time sheets, prepare load files for Alliance (Payroll Provider), process Job bonuses, Track worked-in State for field employees, Track miles from job to job, and car allowances for field employees
Ā Reconcile payroll accounts to ensure accuracy
Ā Respond to employee questions about pay, deductions, and time
Ā Process payroll changes like new hires, salary updates, tax deductions, 401K deductions and loans
Ā Maintain vacation accruals, missed medical deductions, Wage Garnishments, and active & terms updated in Principal (401k provider)
Ā Maintain payroll records and reports, and commitment to getting the payroll processed on a timely and accurate basis
HR responsibilities:
Ā Manage the recruitment process
Ā Onboarding new employees
Ā Maintain and update employee records
Ā Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations
Ā Participate in employee disciplinary meetings
Ā Conduct background checks
Ā Assist with employee issues and complaints
Ā Provide coaching and development
Ā Conduct performance evaluations
Ā Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits program
Skills and knowledge:
Ā Strong math skills
Ā Knowledge of payroll, wage, and hour laws
Ā Knowledge of employee benefits
Ā Knowledge of accounting and office practices
Ā Ability to use payroll software
Ā Ability to communicate effectively
Ā Ability to adapt to stressful situations
Requirements:
Ā Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ā Strong organization skills and attention to detail with ability to juggle multiple priorities
Ā Self-motivated, self-starter with a team player attitude
Ā Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
Ā Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ā Exceptional written and verbal communication
Ā Alliance and NetSuite Oracle experience is a plus
